Ronan Park Movie Nights: Call for Volunteers Friday July 26 7-10 PM.

Our summer Movie Nights are fast approaching and we’re looking for a few volunteers to pitch in with us.

Please let us know if you are free to lend some time either:

Leading up to the event:
– Flyering homes around the park
– Spreading the word in person and on social media

The night of the event (Friday July 26th or August 9th)
– Setup (7:00- 8:00)
– Grilling hot dogs (anytime between 8:00 and 10:00)
– Breakdown (10:00 – 11:00)

The Friends of Ronan Park Annual Kite Festival is happening again Sunday, June 23d and we’re looking for volunteers to help out with some activities. If there are any of these that you are free to lend a hand to please let us know.:

Flyering [week prior to the event]
Setup [9-10AM Sunday June 23rd]
Breakdown/Cleanup [1-2PM Sunday June 23rd]
Photos [Anytime during the event 10AM-1PM Sunday June 23rd]
Cardboard Slide Facilitation [1 hour slots between 10AM-1PM Sunday June 23rd]
Kite Assembly [1 hour slots between 10AM-1PM Sunday June 23rd]
Lawn Game Management [1 hour slots between 10AM-1PM Sunday June 23rd]
Sign Up Sheet Management [1 hour slots between 10AM-1PM Sunday June 23rd]
Hot Dog Grilling [11:30AM-12:30PM Sunday June 23rd]

If you don’t have time free but would still like to help out we’re looking to borrow any of the items below for the day of the event

First 3o kites are free to children and teens, first come first served!

Check out our awesome cardboard slide down the hill! Also free, gravity included!

Drinks and food will be available. A plant swap and info tables will also be there, check them all out!

Movie Night 9/8 (The Boss Baby) & FORP meeting Wednesday 9/6

We’re happy to invite folks to join us for movie night in the park on Friday, September 8th at 7 pm. We’ll be screening The Boss Baby on the lawn near the playground. Light refreshments served before the screening begins.

In addition, Friends of Ronan Park hold our monthly meeting, which is open to the public, on Wednesday September 6th, at 6:30 p.m. at Homestead Cafe, in Fields Corner. Join us and contribute!
